Delving Into The Core Of Hospital Operations @ NTFGH
Students from the SUSS BSc in Biomedical Engineering programme visited Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH) on 13 October 2018, to learn more about the technological advances in healthcare and the myriad roles a biomedical engineer plays to support the operations of a hospital. As NTFGH is recognized in Asia Pacific for successfully leveraging on health information technology to improve quality of care and patient safety, the students had the privilege to learn about the innovative, creative and ‘out-the-box’ ICT solutions offered by NTFGH.
Welcomed by Mr Leong Kwok Hoong, Assistant Director of Biomedical Engineering (BME) and Mr Ng Nghee Guan, BME Manager and former SUSS BME graduate, the students were given a tour of the hospital’s premises which included their multi-disciplinary Intensive Care Units at Level 4.
